The building that houses Hotel Preciados was built in 1881 on property owned by the Descalzas Reales, whose first owner was the Count of Romanones. Now completely refurbished, this building on the corner of Preciados and Veneras streets combines 19th-century elegance and 21st-century progress, putting the latest in design and technology to work for its guests.

the friendliness of staff

the room service menu is very limited although it is served by the hotel restaurant, it should be expanded at least to the same selections offered at the local restaurant.

The rooms were impeccably clean and modern, with double glass balcony doors that did a great job of keeping out the street noise. The bathroom was also quite up-to-date, with a great shower.

The bed was pretty hard, which over the course of our stay we came to believe was normal in Spain. We adjusted to it eventually, although some people might not.
